Ballet Rejoice Fine Arts Enrichment

Classical Art Workshop

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Fine Arts Program at Ballet Rejoice…

This year we are introducing a Classical Art Workshop program at Ballet Rejoice! Our arts program allows students to practice fine arts alongside their dance training, while also engaging in special events and workshops throughout the year. These opportunities help them develop their skills as artists, build meaningful communities, and enrich their lives through shared creative experiences. By creating together, students are invited to explore and celebrate the beauty of the arts in a deeper and more connected way. Our goal is to cultivate artists, not only skilled dancers, but creative individuals who understand how to use many forms of art to express truth, beauty, and purpose.

Each month, we will offer a creative art workshop where students can explore the work of a renowned artist while creating their own inspired masterpiece. From Monet to Degas, students will learn to paint like the masters, gaining an appreciation for art history, understanding different artistic styles, and discovering their own creativity.

In every class, students will be guided step-by-step through the artistic process, from initial sketching to painting and final touches. With supportive instruction at every stage, each student will complete and take home a beautiful work of art they can be proud of. Students' art projects will be displayed in our galleries throughout the year and will have the chance to win recognition and awards! We look forward to inspiring creativity and a love of the arts in every student across multiple artistic forms at Ballet Rejoice!

Classes are open to artists ages 8+ , Teens & Adults Welcome!

Our commitment to generosity and families learning art together extends into our fine art program! We invite parents of enrolled artists to paint for free, come experience the joy of creating alongside your family, connect with our community, and build your own artistic skills with us.

About the Instructor

Led by our Artistic Director, Miss Tessa, who brings 25 years of experience in dance and choreography along with a lifelong passion for drawing, painting, and creating, this program reflects that vision. With five years of experience teaching painting and drawing to youth and children, Miss Tessa is excited to bring the Fine Arts program to life at Ballet Rejoice.

“I have spent my entire life in the arts, and for many years I viewed each form as separate. I would dance when I danced, paint when I painted, and sing when I sang, but I did not yet see how deeply connected these expressions truly are.

Over time, as my career developed, these different artistic disciplines began to come together. I came to understand that the arts are not isolated, they work together to create a fuller, richer artistic experience. I am excied to share that experience with the next generation of artists at Ballet Rejoice. Through this integrated approach, I have come to see the arts as interconnected expressions of a single creative source, each one enriching and expanding the others.

Because of this, I am excited to expand our program at Ballet Rejoice by opening more opportunities for our dancers to explore the Fine Arts and develop these creative skills alongside their dance training. As a director and choreographer  with over 25 years of experience, and an artist for a lifetime,  I have found that understanding multiple art forms has been essential to my success in the field of dance and as a creative visionary.

The connection of all art forms is central to my creative process, and I believe they are all essential tools for dancers. Engaging with multiple art forms helps students deepen their creativity and expand their ability to express, perform, and grow.
